What should I do if the cookie banner continues to appear even after giving consent?

To solve this problem, simply perform the following steps:

  • In the “my domains” section of Elmo, select the site on which the problem occurred.
  • Go to the configuration section of the banner.
  • Click on configure.
  • In the Elmo Cookie Domain drop-down menu, select the "Domain Specific" option.
  • Save.

How many languages are included in Elmo's licence?

Elmo's basic licence includes all available languages: Italian, English, French, German and Spanish.

The scan of my site is pending, what should I do?

Usually, website scans take only a few minutes, but system slowdowns may occur. In such cases, the scan can take up to an hour to complete. Should the time further exceed 60 minutes, do not hesitate to contact support.

How do I find out which cookies are installed on my website?

To find out which cookies are installed on your website, you can run a scan with Elmo. To do this, follow the steps below:

  • Go to the "My sites" section.
  • Enter the URL of the website you wish to scan and click on Add site.
  • Once added, the domain will be visible in the “My sites” menu. Now simply click on the newly added site to be able to scan the entire site or a single page.
  • When the scan status changes to Inspected, you will be able to view the generated documentation.

Elmo's Cookie Inspector did not classify the nationality of one or more scanned cookies, what should I do?

For technical reasons Elmo is sometimes not able to identify the nationality of the scanned cookies. In these cases it is necessary for the Data Controller to find out where the data is stored from the service provider.
To add or change data that has not been classified by Elmo, you can follow these steps:

  • Go to the list of scans performed on your website.
  • Click on Select.
  • Click Edit to change the information for individual cookies.
  • Save.

Elmo's Cookie Inspector did not classify the purpose of one or more scanned cookies, what should I do?

For technical reasons Elmo is sometimes not able to identify the purpose of the scanned cookies. In these cases it is necessary for the Data Controller to indicate the purpose of the service it uses.
To add or change data that has not been classified by Elmo, you can follow these steps:

  • Go to the list of scans performed on your website.
  • Click on Select.
  • Please select one of the three categories (Necessary, Statistical or Marketing) to indicate which one identifies your use of the cookie.
