Simplified integration with Google Tag Manager
Since a few months ago, Google Tag Manager has included a BETA mode (so it is not necessarily stable) that nevertheless allows much simpler configuration of tag consent: let's see how.
Step 1 - Configuration
Now each tag in Google Tag Manager allows us to configure the consent conditions to be activated: let's see how.

- Once the list of tags is open, click on the name of the tag we wish to configure.
- Click on the tag's settings to modify them.
- Scrolling down, we will find this section called Consent Settings
- The Non Impostata setting is not compliant and is equivalent to not having configured the tag
- The setting Additional consent is not required indicates that the tag will always run, equivalent to technical or necessary consent.
- The setting Additional consent is required indicates that the tag (and related cookies, if any) are for non-technical marketing or statistical purposes, and therefore require user consent to run.
- Clicking Add Required Consent will open a menu with pre-filled options from which you can enter the required consent:
- If the tag requires marketing consent, you will need to enter ad_storage as additional consent
- If the tag requires statistical consent, you must enter analytics_storage as an additional consent.
